Keep getting community updates that take less than a minute to download and update. These come weekly (or more) accompanied with a Speed camera 3MB update that take say 15 minutes to download and update.
I update each update separately and afterward my device advises me I am up to date.

A few days later I log on there they are again, one community update and a 3MB speed camera update. And and on it goes.

This feels wrong!!!!

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Is this wrong OR am I doing something wrong?

Not unusual to get regular Mapshare updates -- that's how TomTom distributes interim map corrections. Odd to keep getting the speed cameras, though.

Just for grins, clear out the cache that MyDrive uses. Right click the icon in the system tray and select "Settings". Go to "Downloads" and select "Empty the download folder".

Never mind doing the above. TomTom is aware of the issue with the speed cam update problem as of a few days ago. You'll find other users seeing the same thing on TomTom's board. Problem is being tracked and worked at this time.

I have just done a quick search and see that there are or have been various speed camera update issues. My search findings only confuse me more.

Not sure if the issue that you refer Tom Tom are aware of is the same as mine. People seem to have error messages at speed camera updates ( I don't). Some have lost their speed cameras altogether.

I haven't used my TomTom recently so I don't know if I have lost speed cameras. Since there are no speed cameras in my area, is there anyway of checking if I have not lost speed cameras without driving around the country?

Plan a route from your current position to a location such that you'd have to drive through a speed camera. Should be shown in the route bar on the right.

Yes that was the case when driving on the British Mainland (Scotland) over the summer. Unfortunately here in Northern Ireland I might have quite a drive before I would come across a speed camera. Was hoping there was another way, never mind l will have to wait until I next drive to Belfast, might come across a speed camera then.

I have the same issue, got mapshare update almost everyday (understandable), and speed camera update 2/3 times a week. It still works, all the cameras around my area is still there. The only problem I have, is that everytime, when I installed a camera update, the available free spaces on my devices go down about 1 mb every speed camera update. The annoying part, is that with the North America Map on the GO 600, the available free space is about 30 MBs, so the warning on the device saying "You need at least 40 MBs for custom POI to work" keeps on showing.
I do have a SD card available, but TomTom won't let you move the map there unless you ran out of space. (currently have about 15MBs left.)

Well, what size is the card? The 'sweetspot' seems to be 16 gb and SanDisk.

The next (980) map is due in a few weeks and it very well may need the extra 15 mbs you have left so the map might need to be installed on the card.

Never thought to check remaining memory post speed camera update to see if it was diminishing.
I haven't got a card for extra memory so good to know that I it would be a good idea to check remaining memory next time I do a speed camera update.
Last time there was a map update the Europe, United Kingdom & Ireland map was way later than all other maps by some weeks/months. If that's the case again for the 980 update, and if it's not possible to move maps to extra memory until space has run out, there is probably no point in rushing out to buy a memory card lest it sit in a drawer until needed.

I have a 32GB SanDisk (Class 10) laying around so I just put it in TomTom.

I was hoping that the past 2/3 map updates will push past that point. But the past 2 maps been giving me the similar available free space after install and reset.
The funny thing is, if I reset the device, the available free space jump back up to around 30MB (which make me thinks that the speedcam is just keep on installing and making a copy of itself on the device, resulting duplicate and waste space.)

Just like zengshenliu my available memory did reduce after the speed camera update. My memory reduced from 785MB to 782MB. The 3MB reduction in available memory corresponds to the 3MB speed camera update. The speed camera updates that a get on a weekly basis are always 3MB. The lifetime speed cameras service listed in my Device Content always stays the same at 4MB.

I suppose I may well forget about updating my speed cameras from MyDrive Connect lest I run out of memory updating the same update over and over again :(

My "Speed Camera Udates" are "Activated" in my "TomTom Services" menu. I think I read somewhere that this set up means my speed cameras will update automatically without updating through MyDrive connect. Is this the case? (Although I cannot understand how I would get updates without logging into MyDrive Connect.

Have you called support about this?:

Had to drive the best part of 30 miles yesterday to find a speed camera to prove that I had still had my speed camera warnings. A 60 mile round trip but I was going mostly in that direction anyway.

Before I could log on to MyDrive Connect today I had to upload a software update for MyDrive Connect.
After logging on I had the 2 usual updates available i.e. One community map update and the 3MB Speed camera update.

Went into my Contents and was surprised to see that my Speed Camera content had increased from its usual 4MB to 7MB !!. Further surprised to see that my remaining memory had gained back 2MB of the 3MB lost after my last Speed camera update a few days before.

As "dhn" suggested I rang Customer support and was told that Speed Camera updates do come frequently on a weekly basis or more.
Enlightened by this I updated the latest two available updates. Afterward I checked my Device Content and seen that I had lost 2MB available memory and my Speed Camera Content had reduced from 7MB back to the 4MB!

I have no reason to believe I am losing speed camera warnings but Bewildered :)

Here is what I found in the past month:
Code:
Date Action Free Memory (MB)
11/22/2016 Map Updated to 9.80 19
11/25/2016 Reset and Setup Everything (Sync favorites) 27
11/25/2016 Install Safety Camera (591KB) 26
11/27/2016 Map Share (91B) 26
12/02/2016 Plug in to Check for Update and None 24
12/09/2016 Safety Camera (621KB) & MapShare (81B) 22
12/16/2016 Safety Camera (621KB) 19
12/20/2016 Safety Camera (621KB) 19 (Pre Update report 20 MB???)
12/22/2016 Safety Camera (621KB) 17
It looks like the everytime it installs the camera data, the available free memory went down, which doesn't make sense since they should override old one, not adding.

My memory does go down after speed camera updates but seems to recover somewhat after a few days???.
Still think that speed camera updates are too frequent. I see that my speed camera content includes 31 different countries including the UK.
I appear to have the option to uninstall individual countries (slovakia, slovenia etc).
Would it be advisable to uninstall all countries except the UK in the hope of reducing the frequency of speed camera updates, or could this cause problems?

Since all those other countries can be unchecked individually I cannot see what problem it would cause for your UK use of the device.

You are being offered speed camera data that corresponds to the coverage of your map, but no, you needn't accept any that you do not need. Just be aware that they'll keep being offered.
