Update Tom Tom Go 500

Hi my parents have a very old Tom Tom Go 500 and I am not sure if it is still possible to update this model on the internet as it was listed as end of life when i looked on the official web site. Please can some one tell me firstly if it is still possible to update with all the latest road additions/changes in England and if so how do i go about it as i am not that special on computers.

Well, it does seem to be possible. See here:

But you may need Home 1.6 initially with that old model. Not sure.

You get Home at tomtom.com/home. You might initially try to download the latest Home 2 version (2.9) It'll be the blue button 'download' button on the left side of this screen (for Windows):

But, depending how old the application is on your unit (do you know?), you may require the earlier 1.6 Home version initally. Its link is below the blue 'download' button on the left side.
