TomTom Model(s)
Trucker 6000
We have just purchased the new Trucker 6000 and put in the dimensions of our Motorhome so really did not expect to be sent down a road that was so narrow that we scrapped down the side and the stone walls either side knocked in one of our wing mirrors. It was a really scary road which went on for about a Mile and a half. The road ran alongside Iford Manor so think it was called Iford Hill. We stayed in the grounds of the Manor and when we mentioned it to the owners the next day they said that lorries, motor homes and caravans are always being directed to thi road and getting stuck. They have reported it on several occasions to Tom Tom over the years but it is still happening. We are extremely disappointed about this and feel we would like our money back and get something else that might be more reliable. We are planning a trip to Europe soon and nervous that this could happen again. Anyone else had this experience and who should I report it to to make sure something is finally done about it. I wouldn't mind but afterwards we exaggerated our width and was still directed down this road and know that had we been that width we would most definitely have got stuck and caused a lot more damage.

Hello all, hopefully a quick question, is it possible to use the tom tom offline (offline maps), as the place i work in, i cannot get a GPS signal?

Thanks.

First you talked about programming a route without a GPS signal.
You do it the same as if you had a signal.

Hold on.
Some of the old NAV2 devices like my GO 930 do ask for a GPS signal.
I do not know your Start 20 but on the 930 it will ask if I want to use the last known address (and then it specifies which one it was). I also have the option to specify a route to a destination from a point that is not the current location.

ok, So how do i plan a route without GPS????
If that is what you really mean, use Google maps.

Not being flippant but to help you I would need further details.
