unable to update tomtom one LE, volume is read-only?

hi everyone,

i am trying to update my tomtom one LE using tomtom home, and i am getting an error message reading 'you are trying to install to a volume that is read-only'. i am using mac osx, latest version. i have no idea how to correct the problem, does anyone else have any ideas?

If this is a brand-new TomTom, you might consider returning it to the store.

If you are past your return policy, you might copy the files from your TomTom to an SD card (preferably 2GB if you have one), turn the TomTom off, then put the SD card in your unit and turn it back on and go through the same motions to download updates (you'll be using the SD card for your TomTom's memory from now on).
