TT510 newbie question

Hi,

I recently purchased the 510 and for the most part am very pleased with it. However, it has failed me on two occations where I had to rely on MapQuest to get me where I wanted to go. I thought this may be do to an older version of the US & Can map but I checked and I have the latest version. My question is this... Does anyone know if a regional map (FL, GA, etc) would be any better and if so, is there a way through TomTom to check a locale before buying one of these maps?

No, the regional may not be better.
How do you know you have the latest maps?
What is your map version just to confirm. All new owners should upgrade their maps.
I know the tomtom site may say you have the latest maps, when infact you might not.
