TT Traffic stopped working today

I had been using TT traffic via bluetooth with Verizon for about one month and today I got the message "you subscription has expired.." When I try to reload TT traffic it says I need a valid subscription. Anyone else experience this? I did a factory reset and tried to re-install but still didn't work. Is free traffic in the US a thing of the past?

You only get one month free. Then you pay.

Thanks. I was reading posts saying it was free for a year, but looking back it looked like a special offer in 2007.
