tt 720 map has not been updated for over 20 weeks, options ?

Hello everyone, I just got this tt 720 hand down from a friend, when plugged to tthome it says that my map has not been updated for more than 20 weeks unfortunately mapshare map corrections are temporarily not available, what are my options ?

Perhaps the TT Mapshare servers are acting up (They do that from time to time).

I'd just try again tomorrow.........

DHN, there's a file you can clear on the TT to prompt Home to download mapshare updates when it's saying the map is up to date. I just can't remember the dang file name. Perhaps I just jogged your memory?

Also to the OP. What map version do you have? If it's more than a year old, you might not get anymore updates anyway.

Well, if you delete everything in the ephemeris folder found here (by default):
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\TomTom\HOME \
Downloads\complete\ephemeris,

it often 'kickstarts' the dl of a new gpsquickfix file.
