TT 700 sold with European maps in USA

Help!!! I recently purchased a TT700 from buy.com only to find it was loaded with European maps after the 14 day return period. TT wants $50 for new maps and buy.com have left me out on the limb alone! Has this happended to anyone else and what did you do to resolve it? Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

It's ridulous that they sold you a European unit to a North America user.

TomTom can't be held responsible. But buy.com should let yu return it. You only get 14 days??? that's ridculous. best buy gives you 30...Amamzon i think gives you 45!
