TomTom Model(s)
Via 1535 TM
I had a TT 1535TM for a few months and found it had a problem so still under warranty I took it back and got a brand new replacement.
My question is, since I am already registered and the defective one is registered with TomTom and in my computer, do I have to re-register all over again and enter the new code for the lifetime map updates etc or will plugging in the new one while on the TomTom site recognize it. I would really appreciate someone advising me of the procedure I have to go through to get the new one up and running. Thanks for any info.:thumb::thumb:

I think the easiest solution is to call CS at 866-486-6866 and let them associate the new unit to your existing account and associate the lifetime maps with the new serial number as well.

One way or another, you'll need CS intervention to ensure the lifetime maps are associated ........

Your Suggestion Worked

:thumb: I followed your suggestion to call CS at the above number. I was able to get a CS rep right away and she was able to delete the old GPS info and enter the new info into my existing account. It seem that's the only way to do it. The new GPS is up and running. Thanks for the info!!
