Tomtom XL "Poor GPS Reception" [Resolved]

Hi , i bought gps 6 months ago and gps always been under my bed , and 3 days ago i tried to use and there is poor GPS reception ,my device will not pick up any satelites at all and there is a message in the bottom right hand corner saying "Poor GPS reception".

after 10 mins it gets connected to sattelites and then works fine . any solution?

You could connect it to Home and download the latest gpsquickfix file. That probably will help.

If the unit has not been used for quite a long time, the activity (or non-activity) of grabbing a signal you describe is normal.

Make sure the unit is stationary in an open area. That speeds up the gps acquisition.
