Tomtom speed cameras issues

I bought new tomtom go superior 6 2nd gen as an "upgrade" for tomtom 5000, which worked great for many years. New device has active traffic and speed cameras subscription, and traffic part works well (relying on smartphone connection).
Speed cameras service though is much inferior to that in tomtom 5000:
- reports of the radars seen on the road using onscreen button say "reported", but no camera actually registered. Nothing on the map for months, repeated reports do not help, tomtom support basically does nothing to fix that issue
Many new stationary cameras in other locations appeared on the uk roads - not alerted by my tomtom either.
No reports of mobile cameras , while Google map shows those
Likewise in Spain and France - marked stationary cameras not alerted by the device. Only some very old ones show up. Got ticket from one of such cameras being 3kmh over limit due to tomtom not functioning as advertised.

Overall, extremely dissatisfied with the current tomtom services, it appears their satnav business is going under and services deteriorated drastically

And tomtom also closed their official public support forums section, assume due to mostly negative feedback from users there these days..

In my over 10 years experience in the UK the free Android tomtom app, previously known as Amigo, reliably alerts me to fixed and mobile cameras (as long as someone has previously reported them). There is an ongoing issue as to whether the app alerts you early enough for mobile cameras. I have no experience using it in France or Spain.

AFAIK Waze reliably reports fixed and mobile cameras, and is free to download. I will leave it to others to comment on the reliability of its speed camera reporting.

I therefore suggest that you try the free tomtom app and/or Waze and use them alongside your current tomtom hardware and see what you think.

TomTom started many years ago as a satnav hardware with software provider. Then smartphones came along which must have effectively killed their hardware market. IMO Google Maps was always inferior to tomtom because it didn't include fixed and mobile speed cameras. Then Waze came along, then Google bought Waze. Now there are reports on the internet that Google has rolled out speed camera alerts in Google Maps in the US and the RAC has reported that it will soon be rolled out in the UK. So that could be the end of their software market too.

You say that "No reports of mobile cameras, while Google map shows those". Are you saying that Google Maps now shows mobile cameras in the UK ?
