Tomtom shuts down

Hello All,
Hope someone can help.Each time I plug Rider 2 into the PC and use Tomtom Home when I un-plug it the rider has a blank screen and the only way I can get it back on is by pressing the re-set button.Any help appreciated.

be careful how you unplug it.

Make sure you are not active in the "Operate My Device" screen, and if you are there, exit out first (the "Done" tab in Home 2.2-2.3).

To play it really safe, you might only connect and disconnect it when the device is off. TomTom devices have a history of blowing USB circuits when this is done when it is on. I had my unit take out a motherboard on my computer once.
