TomTom Model(s)
Tomtom GO for Android
Tomtom has told pocket-lint that they are planning an Android app.

No timing was mentioned, but this makes sense given their Navigator relationship with HTC, and their mapping relationship with Google.

This could be a while, however... As a point of reference, the iPhone app possibility was mentioned over a year ago, and judging by the iPhone app number 8.150, development probably started early- to mid-2008 (before app 8.203 was launched for the GO x40 in Fall 08).

Or Tomtom could have been silently working on an Android app for a while, and release could be imminent. We'll see.

They'll be joining some of their current mobile competitors, just a little late. Sygic, Co-Pilot, Telenav, Trimble and a couple of others have already announced and/or released their version for the Android platform. FWIW, Garmin also has a full-featured version of it's software for the Android OS, but have so far chosen not to jump in with both feet. Garmin mobile has been highly regarded for awhile. I have it along with Telenav on my BB. Strange that they've made no mention of moving on platforms like the iPhone.

It's about time...

From here, Tomtom says "We are currently working on a version for Android this will be released soon. I cannot give you a specific date yet."

I hope they're not burning much bandwidth on that project just yet. It would be nice if they'd finish MyTomTom before they start MyAndroid. Yeah, OK - different platform, different skill set and undoubtedly different team. Still...

I get the impression they're throwing things around to see what sticks. Smells a bit of desperation. As Canderson intimates, it would be good to finish one primary project that they've admitted they're behind on before starting three others.
