Tomtom rider not charging via usb

I am off on a big trip (Europe) 48hrs time tomtom has stopped charging via usb leads tried two nothing assume it will once on the bike I hope so as I will be in real trouble!!

Change your cable.
Your phone's cable may be suitable.

Phone cable doesn't fit-I have two usb tomtom approved cables and they used to work but do not

I have checked for dirt in the connections and can see nothing
