In terms of electronics the Rider V5 (2013) is a bit of a museum piece these days. It might be time to upgrade. I use the term upgrade loosely.

The Rider V5 has been declared end-of-life by TomTom and no longer receives any map updates.

The last time the 2013 rider was updated was on July 17, 2019.
With Version 9.501, I don't see what you could have updated.

Updating TomTom Home has no impact on the operation of your GPS.

In my opinion, your GPS may be too old to connect with headsets that have received the most recent updates.

Current GPS reception is given only Bluetooth is not recognized

After a long search and testing I found a headset for Rider 2013 since I only use the route description, don't need a phone or intercom even an expensive version with a "block" on the helmet was out of the question for me FYI this headset is recognized and can be connected (for those who are still looking)
