TomTom Model(s)
See about me (ran out of space)
Whenever trying to set a route to basically anywhere, it will throw up an error saying "An error occured while calculating the route" or additionally when tapping an entry when searching for locations it will straight up freeze an crash

I've been unable to login and thus update from TomTom home due to an "unexpected server response" when trying to sign in, so would anyone here have any solutions, on how to fix the above issue?

Furthermore, there is an available update for the TomTom app, gpsquickfix and mobile devices support which I cannot install due to the tomtom home server issue

App version currently installed is 7.162 (8492/071121)
Operating system currently installed is 2327

GPS version if v.1.21

and currently installed map is Western Europe, v675.1409

And device displays in the information tab as "Device AK8SG BSATE"

Until you update Quick GPS FIX, you'll encounter problems.
Version 6.75 was released in 2007. We're currently on version 11.50.
Do you have to drive more often in fields and woods?

Hmm, weird updated quickgpsfix and the actual software to 8 something, and it straight up restarted anytime it loaded the map view, but a software restore aswell as an map update, seems to have fixed it so far I have checked, it does have an history of frequently crashing though so wonder why that is

Anyways maps is now updated to western europe 11.10, I'll update whenever it got a gps signal and I tried out setting a route

Used the included tomtom home application, and started it without internet on Windows 7 Pro, then reenabled internet once the application started up so it wouldn't auto update, was able to then update without having to sign in

So just tested out and now it's able to find routes and also displays street names at the bottom, unsure if it'll keep working if I were to reset it, or if it would go back to crashing at the map screen though

Your ONE XL is no longer supported by Tomtom, so saying that you were able to update the map for free to version 11.10 when we are on version 11.50 is not possible.

Used TTActivator to update the maps after a software restore, the original maps didn't validate after trying to restore them to the device from TomTom home, now it displays the correct location aswell as street names too

Having a feeling the original maps were already corrupted and that caused the random crashes, unsure however if it'll keep working in the long term though

Yep, didn't really have another choice as tomtom home doesn't let me add maps, and without a map the thing is useless as it won't even get past the setup screen then

@retrofoxxo

Please do NOT ask for any further support from this forum. We do not condone the stealing of maps -- for that's what it is -- at any time for any reason.

What bothers me about hacking maps is that after 500 people in 2022, more than 300 in 2025 will find themselves without jobs.

? What'd I miss? Also unrelated, but am I still okay to showcase or talk about the unit, or would I only be allowed to post here again if I managed to find a new unit with legit maps? Or not at all?
