TomTom One Settings not saved

Recently got a refurbished TomTom one. It's excellent. WAY better then the older pocket pc gps stuff i had years ago.
Anyhow, i have a few issues with it that i hope someone will know the answer to.
I never had to register or activate the unit. Just put sd card in, answer some basic questions, and it worked.
Now the issue is, everytime i dock it to the PC via USB and restart the GPS, it seems to loose all the settings that i have customised it to. It does still store my POI's and favorites however.
It's really annoying having to configure the language, time and voice.... and so on every time it resets.
What file(s) does it use for that?
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I resolved my own problem

Well, i found this clearflash util and it seems to have resolved this issue. That and hitting the reset button.

Looks like the Flash tool for the x10 series also works for the ONE.

That's the one I used on my TTone V2 when I was having activation problems after going to a larger chip, worked for me.
