TomTom Home download

Had to reformat my hard drive, now I cannot download Home ver 2.4 or 2.,2, latest I got is 1.6, which does not have MapShare. When ver 1.6 is running, there is an update downloading, then box says "a new version of TomTom Home is available, Would you like to install it now?". I then click YES, and TomTom Home closes and the download doesn't install. I also tried to download the zip file and that does the same thing!
Am running XP, service pack 3. Have tried turning off McAfee suite, still no luck.
Any suggestions?

I don't know why you would be having trouble downloading. Did you go to the TomTom webpage (www.tomtom/home) and try to download directly from there ?

It should download the latest file (2.4).
