TomTom Home crashing while trying to download the latest version?

My v1.5 of tomtom home keeps trying to download v.2 each time I connect it to my tomtom to check for updates. But instead of completing successfully it keeps trying to download it until the program crashes. I have had the problem with V.3 and v1.5. I want to stick to version five because I think it gives me more options, and also I couldn't access my backups from V.1 after I updated to V.2.

I'm thinking that I'm probably not the only one this is happening too?

When I use HOME 1.5 I go through the same thing but upon completion it tell ms me if I want to update and I always hit no. Does it actually finish downloading?

Yeah with me it starts to go wrong after clicking no to installing it for a second time.
