Tomtom Go1000 problem

I have a TomTom Go 1000 and it worked perfectly until I took it abroad, I used it to get all the way to eastern europe then flew back with the thing in my backpack. On the way there it worked perfectly. Today I turned it on to go to work but it would not find a GPS signal. I've tried resetting it, factory resetting, etc. Nothing worked. Then I took my friend's Tom Tom and it had exactly the same problem.

So after going to Moldova and coming back the Tom Toms will not connect to the GPS, no reset will work, I'm pretty mad as I now have two useless units in my house and none will work.
