Go Discover
This morning I am having problems to connect my TOMTOM Go Discover to my TomTom Account

When I click on TomTom Account (now not logged in) I can fill in my e-mail address and password but than he keeps waiting:
-One moment please (continues circle sign)
The Wi-Fi is connected and I was able to make maps update.

Same also with the site plan.tomtom.com.
-When I click on the sign in (right top corner) it let me fill in my email and password en than loads the page without any of my bookmarks. In the right corner the sign in option stays on sign in (not my account name)

On TOMtom it's own (support) page with account and profile info I am able to login.
- I see my device and see that there is an software update and map update, but they both are already installed on my Go Discover, but since my navigator is not able to connect to my account this is not synchronised.

I do to use my device every week so the last time I logged in was probably 2 months ago and than everything was still working. Also the map.tomtom.com was working because I added places for my upcoming summer holiday.

It's a known issue that your favorites can't be accessed.

GO Discover is a Wi-Fi GPS, so you don't need to connect your GPS to your computer via a browser.

The problem is the synchronising (login) on my device itself. It keeps saying one moment please. See screenshots.

I contacted the TomTom service desk this morning, but it made it worst. They let me do a factory reset and also password reset. They even told me to go outside for 5 minutes and see if it want to connect. All didn t work and still not able to login/synchonise.

It's worst now because of the factory reset because now all my personal settings are gone again and also all my places/bookmarks are gone from my device and still not able to connect to synchronise them. They say they will create a ticket and hopefully in 48 hours they have found something.

You're asking for a factory reset; this is very bad advice from TomTom support.
You have no choice but to wait for TomTom to resolve the issue with Plan-TomTom.

Resolved: they seem to have fixed their stuff. It suddenly works again. I can now login at my device and all my bookmarks/places are back. Also I can login to Plan.tomtom.com.

About the advise TomTom support gave me to do a factory reset I was also not happy at all and normally I would not proceed, but i felt more or less forced to do so if they wanted to keep helping me. At the end it was indeed bad advice and gave me extra work to set back all my menu settings that i changed.

Thanks Willy for always replying so fast 👍🏻
