Tomtom Go Classic hot: start-up is interrupted.
When I got to my car today, the car and the GPS were very hot, maybe around 50 degrees Celsius.
The GPS had shut down by itself, and the display showed “97%” (battery status)
I then turned on the car’s AC.
When I tried to turn on the GPS, the Tomtom logo appeared and the Tomtom sound, but then it died again.
This happened three times!!
Only after a break of 5 minutes and on the fourth attempt did I manage to start it.
I have not experienced this before.
Is it because of the heat that it would not start?
I am considering putting a piece of cardboard behind it to shield it from the heat when the car is parked. Is that a good idea?
