TOMTOM GO 720 Map share update

I recently bought a TOMTOM GO 720 a couple days ago. I got TomTom Home and I stared updating my device. When I try to download the Map share updates it takes forever and gets stuck on "Processing the Map corrections Copying...." It is stuck like 3/4 the ways done. I left it on overnight and it still have not moved. Am I doing something wrong? How long do the map updates take? I need solutions......

It should take a few seconds at most. A minute tops to download and install. What is your setting for mapshares? Strict? Medium? All?

Have you made an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents prior to any updates!!!???

I would shut down Home if it is still running.

Use Explorer, not Home, to make a backup of your unit's contents. If not sure how, read this

Now, do a pin reset on the unit. Connect to the computer. Start Home. Try the update again.
