TomTom Model(s)
GO 500
When I connect the Garmin to my computer, I have it icon in My Computer, therefore I can enter and manually install any map I want.
Unfortunately, when I connect my GO 500, I don't have it icon (and no access to its map folder).
Is any way to visual the connected unit.

Thanks.

Adam

No, not like old ones. Win7 sees the GO 500 as a Network Adapter.

If you have not done it already go to the TomTom web site and download MyDrive Connect and install it on the PC. When you now USB connect your GPS the programme will tell you if there are any updates and what maps and Safety/Speed cameras are installed.

There was too much piracy going on so there is no more direct access to files with Windows Explorer.

Thank you very much. How come Garmin and iGO don't afraid about piracy and you have a full access to them directly from your desktop.
Cheers.
