My Garmin did not stay on the mount very well, but at least when it fell a few feet onto the carpet, it didn't die.

Had my TomTom for less than a week. Fell off the mount, and his the carpeted floor in the RV. That was it. Screen garbled. TomTom will not cover it at all. Offered me $10 off a new one.

What model do you have? Some have mounts that aren't very robust.

Dropped my GO630 a number of times and it was fine. My new xl350 dropped today, and it's OK too. Looks like you have some bad luck.
