Tomtom crashed mid journey...

Was driving along happily then looked up at the TomTom and screen was just a series of lines.

Couldn't switch off, had to press reset button and from that point the closest the unit came to switching on was to say TomTom and show the screen that I think means it is reading the memory card, then switched off. It did this once then wouldn't switch on at all.

I plugged it into the laptop when I got home (eventually as got lost) and it came back on and I though everything was fine, however it has done exactly the same thing today.

Any ideas as to what the prob may be?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Initial thought is the sd card is faulty.

Can you use Explorer to copy the contents of the card to the computer, get a different card, use Explorer to restore to the new card and see if that works?
