Hello. I have a problem with the TT Bridge device in the Astrata version. When I turn it on, it shows a sad face. Does anyone have a rescue file for this device?

Thank you. Topic update. After pressing on/off several times the device turned on correctly. Question about updating maps and program. Currently the Europe_Truck 1015 map when trying to upload the 1140 map for normal bridge an error message appears.

Where/how are you attempting to get the 1140 map update?

Please describe your boot screen (what it says while it is booting up).

I'm unfamiliar with the "Astrata" version. You don't see Euro-spec Iveco trucks over here. If you could attach a photo of your device it would tell me which of two generations it is at least. Since the Asrata program started back in 2014, I'm guessing your device may look like this one (the 8275 model).

Here are photos of the device. Thank you for the message and I would be grateful for any suggestions for updating the maps or the voices themselves. I could not add photos due to their size but I put them on upload.

The above images are indeed helpful (especially the first one), but again...

Please describe your boot screen (what it says while it is booting up).

What company name appears?

I would also note that the code version that appears in your first photo indicates that it has been a VERY long time since this device was updated. 17.223 code (aka Avogadro - Update 2) was released back in 2017.

Another request for you. Connect your device to USB, and allow access to files when the USB prompt comes up.
Make a copy of the update-locations file that is in your "boot" folder. I'd like you to copy/paste the content of that text file here. That may give me an idea of where you should be getting your updates.

At first the TomTom logo and an animation with the word Astrata appeared. After trying to update with files from Bridge it changed to TomTom Bridge and removed my language. There is only Malcolm. I do not have a boot folder. I connected to a PC and I have folders as in the picture.

Might be worth digging around in the Astrata folder to see if an update-locations file pops up. If not, search around a bit. I'm attempting to discern where Astrata devices are expected to find their updates.

OK. Now let's talk about this: "After trying to update with files from Bridge..."

Where was this "Bridge" site? Did you attempt to update using files from the developer's portal?
https://developer.tomtom.com/bridge/downloads/releases

If not there, what site were you using as a source for files?

I searched the folders, there is no such update-locations file anywhere. Yes, I tried to update with files from the link you provided.

Have you successfully updated this device before, and if so, what method did you use, and where did you find the files?

I've never had the Astrata version before. I thought maybe the update from Bridge from the link you provided would work.

Are you actually driving an Iveco truck with this Astrata unit in it, or ???

Astrata should be supplying the updates for this device.

The navigation is my friend's, he had it in Mercedes from what I know. They changed it to another navigation there and this one stayed with him and he drove on it. He asked me for a new map because the other one was old.

In a Mercedes truck?

Astrata's partnerships for TomTom units was, as far as I knew, only with Iveco.

Iveco was providing connection to some of the truck's data, and Astrata was turning that into data about the vehicle’s power consumption (these were Iveco electric trucks that were being outfitted by Astrata), and would report on the driver's driving style.

Again, best first step to get correct and current updates would be to contact Iveco. If that doesn't work, we'll have to see what, if anything, we can get to work from the Developer's site.

It was definitely not an electric truck. Contact with Iveco is out of the question, I think the contract expired here, so the owner replaced the devices. Is there another way to update or is there no chance?

You can try using the Developer's Portal.
Releases | Downloads | Bridge | TomTom Developer Portal

You're running 17.223 code now. That will have used the 'Classic' map system.
At 17.4 and beyond, you'll be changing over to the 'NDS' map system.
At 17.6 and beyond, you'll be changing over from Android 4.3 to 6.0. No turning back at that point!

Might as well start by trying to forward in two steps to see how your device behaves when we try. Let's see if we can get your mapping system converted first.

At the site above, scroll down to the 17.3 Poretti release (July 2017).
Now, before we continue, it's ESSENTIAL that we know whether your device is set up as a passenger or truck device. Back at 17.223, one had to select from either non-truck or truck downloads, and you had to match your choice to what the device already had loaded. Same was true for what region of the world the maps were going to be.

At the 17.3 Poretti release, you must make your selection:

So ... I assume based upon your Poland location, you want European maps.
So ... does your device allow you to define the dimensions of your vehicle, whether you're carrying hazardous goods, etc.?

If you've got a truck unit, you'll want to download the file named europe-truck.zip to the right of "Europe (with 2018.06 map update)".

If you have an automotive unit, you'll want to download the file named europe.zip to the right of "Europe".

You need to unzip the content of the *.zip file to a 32GB uSD card.
Once you've done that, see what happens when you boot your device with the 32GB card installed.

I did as you wrote. This message appears.

Remember how we talked about the update-locations file before? Try to find the one that is now on your uSD card and post its content here, please.

I am a bit concerned that the device appeared to be looking for this file

eu.astrata.dlb

which is unique to Astrata devices. I am guessing that this file already exists on your device.

I'll skip the updates but it removed the Polish voice and now how do I add it to the device? I'd like it to at least speak Polish like before.
