Tomtom announces problems with Western Europe map

If you have downloadede the new estern Europe map and have had problems with it, Tomtom just sent me this e-mail. I had problems with it, when it came out:

Dear Anders,

Some of our customers recently experienced a problem when installing the map of Western & Central Europe.

If you have tried to install this map within the last three days and encountered the error message ?Item was not valid after installation?, follow these steps:

1. Connect your device to your computer and launch TomTom HOME.
2. Log in to your TomTom account. Click Remove items.
3. Select the Items on computer tab, click Maps and tick the box by the map you are trying to install.
4. Click Remove selected items.
5. Click Update my device to download and install the map again.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for that information.

I just downloaded a Western Europe map about 12 hours ago and there were no installation problems. But there were two different maps available. The one I got was $20 US less than the other one but was a larger size and seemed to have pretty much the same coverage. Very strange.
