It's all seems a bit vague, or maybe I'm missing something obvious, but am I supposed to expect an audible alert when I exceed the speed limit (like Amigo used to)? So there is nothing heard when used directly from my android device but when used via Android Auto, the radio clearly mutes itself as if making way for the audible alert. Can anyone put me straight please before I completely give myself over to Waze.

Andy.

If you're only using your phone without being connected to Android Auto, do you still get this speed limit alert?

Normally, you're only notified if you exceed the speed limit.

I assume the "Excessive Speed" option is checked in your settings.

No. It doesn't work either way and all options are checked as they should be and always have been. My wife has the same phone and it suffers with the same problem. I take it that it works for you?

It worked, but I don't know why; I don't use it anymore.

I prefer to use GO Expert, which is more comprehensive.
