Tomtom 720 and 730

i am using right now TT 720 i have seen the 730 in the shops
i am wondering what is the different between the 720 and 730

Do you advise me to get it ?

i have seen there is another way of Navigate in the 730
is thos are new map or new applications or what ?

The 730 has Navcore 8 on it with features such as IQ routing and Lane Assistant.
The 720 will have this update in time and it will need the 730 map.
I am not sure what are the differences in the price.

Navcore 8 is the software version on the x30.
The x20 series has Navcore 7.
IQ routing is a part of Navcore 8. In the near future, the Navcore 8 will be available for the x20 series.

You will see that image only when you approach a Freeway intersection.
You will not see it all the time.

Yes you can!
Let me help you out. Take one step at a time.
Go to your 2nd menu option and select 'PREPARE ROUTE'
It will ask you where you want to depart from.
go the second page and select 'POINT ON MAP'. Browse the map and locate a freeway before it intersects with another free.
Once you selected the area, select 'DONE'.
Next, it may as you if you want to use your recent destination as the destination.
Select 'NO'
Go to the 2 page and select the 'POINT ON MAP' option again.
This time select the area of the freeway intersection. Then select 'DONE'
Choose 'Fastest route'
It will show you your route summary. Select 'DETAILS' and then select 'SHOW ROUTE DEMO' and watch it!

Another difference is that the 730 supports Speech to Text, which the US version of the 720 does not.

I believe you are confusing text to speech with voice recognition.
All x20 and x30 have text to speech which are the computer voices.
The 720 didn't come with Voice Recognition in North America unlike the European version.

i did mistake in the demo i did 500 as speed that why i didn't see it
i called tomtom and they explain
i am facing still one problem with the Mapshare
always when i connect my TT730 with the pc it said there is new update
if i install the update i see my mapshare version didn't change it stay the same 25025
and if stay installing the mapshare
i install and install without limite
mean wich are not fonctioning
is there is any suggestions for this issue ?

I'm sure hoping lane assist images are increased. Dunno how wer'e gonna recieve more updates, but currently i've seen only a hand full. The larger Metro Areas [like Chicago] are well done. Just a dissapointment to find out the whole lane assist feature is nothing more than a select few "static" pictures. The ads certainly made it look like it was a "real time" full functioning "live" feature.

Also, you must be quite alert when using IQ routing. It can most deffinatly get you in alot of trouble. Your own IQ must, at many times, overrule the TT's
