TomTom 130 Volume Problem?

Someone is going to give me a TomTom 130, not the 130S, for free. I recently read that some time ago, when introduced, the 130 had low volume problems.

Does anyone know what serial numbers were affected by this defect, and if so, and I have one that is involved, will TomTom replace it or is there a suggested fix.

The serial of the unit I am receiving is PN1439A02651.
