tom tom turn OFF

hi please can some one help
my old TT500 when plugged into accessory socket in car would start up, when plug pulled out unit would go OFF, my question is this:... my new TT510 when plugged into accessory socket on car starts up the unit, but when you pull the plug to turn it of the TT510 stays on until turned off on the button, what i need to know is can i make it go off when i have pulled the plug from the socket.....hope someone can understand what i mean..

I am sure you have heard from Pedro about the change in operation when one of the newer firmware versions was installed. I have the same concern but tomtom says it will not be addressed.
