Tom Tom Start vs Tom Tom One 30 Series

Hi there,

Well the title says it all really, I'm looking to buy a Tom Tom as a gift - as my knowledge of GPS systems is poor I thought I would ask the experts. I am buying the gift for a friend who is technologically inept so it needs to be basic but functional.
Also I have read a few threads regarding difficulty in map updates etc are either of these units easier to update or less prone to problems

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

The One 30 has far more capability than the Start, the Start uses a simplified menu that has quite a few options missing - Mike
