Tom Tom and iphone

I have linked my Go 5200 to my iPhone but would like to know whether if I do a search destination on my Tom Tom this will link to the iPhone. Or vice versa if I click on transfer destination on the iPhone will this link directly to TomTom.
sorry if this sounds a daft question but I want to make sure I am getting the best service for my destination searches.

A Go 5200 connected to an iPhone does not allow you to transfer an itinerary.

To transfer an itinerary, you can only do so with Plan-TomTom.

A Go 5200 connected to an iPhone only allows you to receive traffic information and speed camera reports.
