TomTom Model(s)
tomtom go classic 2
I had a tomtom25M which broke (power supply problems) so replaced it with a 'tomtom go classic 2'.

this new tomtom is useless and (in my view) unsafe as on the display the contrast is poor, the roads are too narrow to see clearly and there is no 'get in lane' display for motorway travel. I use 'long distance' glasses when i drive (not needed but safer) and at home i use reading glasses to read books & computer. So when driving reading the new TomTom takes too much time/effort so is realtively unsafe in my view.

I tried to raise a complaint about this device.

On ebay i bought another start25M (because i know the display is good) - but that was no good as the maps were very out of date (not just the expected 4 years).

Question. Can anyone recommend a satnav which has a display with wide roads (10% of screen width????) and displays which lane to use at motorway junctions. I dont really want to buy another tomtom after my bad experience.

Thanks

Go Classic 2. No lane guidance on the highway.

Have you checked the settings, then Appearance, and set the text and button size to Display?

For your Start 25M purchased on eBay, this GPS has lifetime map updates. Provide the serial number for verification.

The first thing to do is register this GPS to your TomTom account.

As for the display of wider roads, the maps are practically all the same.

For your information, use a 6 or 7-inch screen; the roads are slightly more visible.
