Time to update

It does seem odd that a unit with 8GB of internal memory ("BP" serial) would have been sold with ONLY a UK & ROI map, especially when that map would have easily fit onto several other 135 models with a lot less memory.
My guess was that the previous owner didn't care about the rest of Europe, and found it quicker to just work with the UK map.

Hi
Think i have sorted it out. The TomTom VIA 4EQ50 only has UK Ireland maps

There were only two versions of 4EQ5.xxx devices.

If all of your devices do start with "BP", then they're all 8GB 4EQ5.001.02 models.
There were also the "BO" models (I have one of those sitting here on my big desk) and it's a 4GB 4EQ5.052.00 model.

So are you a Johnstone?

I'm confused. Where did that 4EQ50 Z1230 number come from?
I had edited my reply - possibly after you read it.
The numbers you see there are the actual format TomTom uses for their internal model numbering.

Here's something interesting to try.

Plug in each of your devices one by one, and with MyDrive Connect running in the background, use your favorite browser to go to this address >> http://169.254.255.1/mpnd/settings

Scroll down to the end of the screen, and pick out this information:

<setting key="device_serial" value="BO4122A00003"/>
<setting key="version_hardware" value="Lanzhou"/>

and later down the list

<setting key="image_type" value="['Montreux4_nonconnected_4096', 'Montreux5_nonconnectedUS_4096', 'Montreux_liveUS_4096', 'Miramar5_liveNAM_4096_BT', 'Lausanne5_nonconnected_4096_BT', 'Lausanne4_nonconnected_4096_BT', 'Lanzhou5_nonconnected_4096', 'Lanzhou4_nonconnected_4096']-"/>

What you see following "version_hardware" is the base hardware of your model, and "image type" are the various internal model names of the devices that shared the same firmware 'image'. For example, my "BO" unit is called, internally, a "Lanzhou5_nonconnected_4096".

Paste up here what you see for those three items.

FWIW, your "BP" models would ALL be called "LanzhouPremium5_nonconnected_8192", and I'd expect to see that in all three of your "image type" entries.
