Time to update

canderson/Willy
I'm getting so confused. I purchased the VIA 4AQ50 because I was lead to believe it would work with my db which had OV2 POI's with OGG sound. Even my db supplied by PocketGPSWorld.com informs me that all nav3 will accept the information and work. Above you say ogg files will work if lower than 250kb, is this true?
When I use TT My Drive I get the following message "The content you are trying to install cannot be used with your device. Check that you have the correct file." Only 22kb

I have no problem uploading <= 250KB *.ogg files to my Nav3 devices using the Community feature of MyDrive Connect.
I can't say why you're struggling with that. I'd have to see your install attempt and a copy of your file to test here.

Please create a *.zip file of your *.ogg and attach it to your reply here so that I can look at it here on MyDrive.

Here are my ogg files

If I remember correctly, you don't need to add your OGG file to the voice section.
Add this file to the PI section with your OV2s.

Your zip file, which you downloaded from your database website, I assume includes one OV2 file, one OGG file, and one BMP file.

Add this file directly to "Community POIs on GPS."

Willy -
Correct. These sounds do NOT go into the "voice" section.

See post #59. Separate sounds associated with a POI are added as "Community warning sounds" in that section of the MyDrive interface.

I don't remember that.

My file was added to Manage Content.

An added voice is so your GPS tells you to turn right or left.

Here are all of the Community Content options I have for Nav3 for the current version of MyDrive Connect:

Community POI on device

Community map color schemes on device

Community images on device

Community car symbols on device

Community warning sounds on device

The "Community warning sounds" are associated by the user with a particular POI. You go to the menu item "Settings" / "Manage POIs" / "Warn when near POI" and then select the sound you want associated with the selected POI type.

I agree with all the community content options you've announced.

If you look at my image above, I have a single file that displays the speed cameras. This file includes an OV2 file, a BMP file, and an OGG file.

This file was added to "add pi"

That can work if you have a 'consolidated' file group zip for the POI. The OP seems to have a separate *.ov2 and *.ogg, and no *.bmp.

I don't know this radar database, if there is no BMP file, then the radars are not visible on the GPS map?

If no bmp file is included, a default icon is displayed at the location.

Yes it includes all OV2 , OGG and BPM.
I only have
Community POI on device

Community map colour schemes on device

Community images on device

Community car symbols on device

Community warning sounds on device

Not Community POIs on GPS

Do I need to add all the OGG files to "warning sounds" and then select Manage POI - Warn when near POI - select sound - sound effect - select warning sound on every one?

For the first time, download your file, which includes all OV2, OGG, and BPM files, here.

For an update, you only need to update the OV2 file.

Willy/Canderson thanks so much for all your help. Tried out the TT today and it works great, identified all the SC and announced the speed. Even tried to change the startup screen with a pic of my car. Installed OK but just a little small for the screen.
Just a small point I purchased 3 TT Via all BP serial number. All OK but one of the Vai is UK maps only the other 2 are Europe. The maps on the Europe TT upgrade no problem but the TT with UK maps will not, TT asked me to purchase the map on that 1. Is it the Europe maps only that have free updates?

It's been a long while back since I dealt with these, and I don't recall what map promotions you had in Europe back in 2010 when the Via 135 was released.

The best thing is to contact Tomtom to check with them if the Via 135 with the serial number has a lifetime Europe map or not.
