Sprint Treo 650

My phone and the rider do not share test messaging data. In fact the rider does not show the test message buttons highlighted as an option.
Did I leave some thing out during the install, or is it normal for this phone.
I appear unable to send or recieve messages from the rider.
My 2nd phone is a motorola RAZR, I have not connected it to see if it shares the same problem. The 650 is on Sprint CDMA and the Razr is on T-Mobile (GSM).

Perhaps this functionality will become available after connecting the rider to home using my PC.
will check after testing out razr.

I have the same problem with my Samsung J700. Frustrating, but the hands-free phone connection works fine. Does anyone have texting capability?
