Sharing map file

Hi, I purchased 2 new XXL540TMs with the US/Canada/Mexico maps for myself and wife to use. We set-up 2 accounts and have updated both units. My question for the TomTom gurus is: Can the map file ( mapsettings.cfg ) be shared on both units. We want both to have the same Favorites. I would set mine up and then copy it, paste and overwrite her file. Would this corrupt her unit by using a file from my unit? Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, the mapsettings.cfg file can be copied between similar units. You'll find that recent destinations, favorites and a few setting will propagate from one unit to the other in the process.
