Shared Map Corrections vs New Map

I have been using TT for about 8 months and today it told me that my maps are 9 months old. So I thought - what difference new maps would do to me if I syncing "Shared Map Corrections" every week.

I am in Australia, mostly travel around the Sydney area - is there way to compare my current version of map to the new one available to see what I would be paying for.

Go to Google maps and take a look at Sydney. Google uses the TeleAtlas mapping (as does TT) and it'll give you an idea what is on the latest map.
