Saving Favorites When Loading New Maps

Hi - My First Post Here:

I have a Tom Tom One Original Version. When I update my map I lose all the "Favorites" and "Recent Destinations". Can anyone please tell me what the file on the device is that contains that information so I could save it to the computer then copy it back to the device after the map update. Or, is there any other way to retain that information? Thanks.

The file you need is, "Mapsettings.cfg" which is found in your map directory. ie: "North_America P" for me.

It's always a good idea to make a 'Windows Explorer' backup of your entire TomTom contents. Some use HOME, but it's given some folks problems.
