Probably several ways to accomplish this on your GPS. What works for me is to Change Preferences - Change Home location to desired address (or point on map, etc) - then "Navigate to" where you want to go.

Advanced planning A to B allows for setting the A location to be other than the gps' current location.

You can use a point on the map, too.
