Hello everybody

I had my Rider 550 ( KG54... ) stolen and when I started my new new Rider 550 ( G763... ) there is already a home address ! Is this normal ?

I can specify that the address which is in the Rider is very close to the place of the flight and very far from my real home !?

It's very weird and intriguing. Is there an explanation?

Thanks in advance

Yes, there's a very probable explanation:

If you (or in this case, anyone else!) have identified your Home location on the device, it is saved on the TomTom server with your favorites, work, etc. You can review these by going to MyDrive on the web and checking to see what has been saved there.

Once you identified yourself by the SAME username/password on your new 550, that data was retrieved from TomTom.

What's interesting is that this new "Home" is far from your home - not a home address that YOU would have used! I would consider checking this 'new' address to see if there's someone with a motorcycle there that might have recently 'acquired' a Rider and has modified the home address! They may not have realized that the device was still logged into your account, making the information visible to you. What you may have inadvertently discovered is that you can share information between devices using MyDrive.

You might want to take a well muscled friend or two with you, or a friendly gendarme.

Hello and thank you for your response.

I was also thinking of this explanation, thank you for confirming it to me, the gendarmerie has been notified.
I asked several questions to "TomTom support" and I don't know what language they speak because they never understand the meaning and always answer on the side!

Can I abuse?
My new Rider 550 is a "Special Edition" bought on an Italian site with 1 year of additional warranty (so 3 in total) and 6 months of free TomTomGO but I can't activate these options, it seems that it's reserved only Italians! It's weird, is it normal?
Thanks again for your help .

I don't know about the warranty/options for Italy. Was that purchased on a 3rd party site or was this some kind of promotion on the TomTom Italy website?

I bought it from a third party site, a motorcycle/biker equipment site based in Italy.

The extended warranty would be the reseller's responsibility. Hope you kept the receipt!

As for the 6 months of "TomTom GO", do you mean the phone app, or some feature on the Rider, or ???
