For years I have had no problems connecting my Rider 550 to my laptop to load routes.
But yesterday had to do a reset and now I can't connect my laptop. Just gives me one beep but I do not get the connected to computer screen.
I am using the Tom Tom USB cable and tried a couple of others
Is there a solution?

We need to understand whether it's an issue with MyDrive Connect or your 550.

Windows? If so, be sure that MyDrive connect is running, then fire up Device Manager. Unplug and plug your 550 a couple of times and watch for a new entry appearing in "Network Adapters". A good connection will cause a device to appear there as an "RNDIS" or "Remote NDIS" device. If you don't see it there, look under "Unknown" or "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

Tell us what, if anything, Windows thinks your 550 really is... if anything at all.

OK, found the answer.
My Tom Tom was not fully off, just sleeping.
Made sure it was off, and then it connected OK. Never noticed before that I had connected from off!?
Thanks for replying
