Request for a poi UTILITY

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong place, or otherwise out of sorts, but I've been looking (unsuccessfully) for a utility that will allow me to create a POI file in batch mode. That is, I have a 'bunch' of POIs in MS-Excel format that I'd like to convert into an *.OV2 file, creating a user-defined POI type.

I'd be grateful if someone could point me to such a utility.

Did you try POIEdit 2007? It has a batch Convert option.

The excel files must be saved as .CSV files to POI edit to convert it.
The CSV file needs to have 3 columns: Longitude, Latitude, Description.
