Replaced battery, worked for 10 minutes, now doesnt work.

Hello everyone, I have a tomtom go 700 (i think thats the model number) anyway i replaced the battery in it and it worked for about 10 minutes and then shut off, figured the battery just had to be charged, but it doesnt turn on at all and wont charge. any ideas why?

You may have run the new one down to such a low point that the firmware cannot sense it to recharge it. There was a very detailed post on how to get around that problem - if you search under 'charging", you should be able to dig it up.

Just for the heck of it, try to do a re-set in case it is note due to a completely dead battery.

It is too late at this point, but for all types of devices, it is generally recommended that you hook it up to the charger before doing anything.
