Renault R-link system announced

Renault has just announced a new R-link system. It's a 7" in-car tablet that will include a Tomtom LIVE system, plus a development platform for an in-car app store.

This seems to further the in-dash electronics/application space, so desired by Tomtom and many other competitors in the market.

The R-link product appears to be built on Android - making this the first navigation product released on the Android platform for Tomtom.
