Removing Branded POIs

There are many POI's in the BRAND folder that aren't in the areas that I travel in. Can I safely remove those?

Also, can custom POI's be placed in the BRAND folder??

Custom pois cannot be added to the brand folder since the application code looks for specific values to match to the appropriate brand and the custom poi bmp wouldn't have that number.

You can delete various .bmp files from the brand folder but they don't take up that much space.
