Reading Documents with OneXL

Hi, I'm a geocacher and want to be able to move html files to my OneXL and have a menu botton that will allow me to read them. Can that be done, or does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find info on this? There is currently no menu choice on the OneXl to read docs. Thanks for any info.

The Navcore7 software has a built-in text reader (that is why you can pull up documents for First Aid, etc).

TomTom in their infinite wisdom did NOT provide the icon in the default menu.

However, if you are using a custom menu, you can add the following line to your TomTom.mnu file (on a page that has an open slot) to get the document reader icon:
TASK_DOC_BROWSER

Any .html or .txt file that you place in your /text folder on the TomTom will show up under the Doc browser

I use the Document Reader feature on my OneXL but had to use the above procedures to get it to work. The easiest way for me to make my custom TomTom menu was by using a 3rd party menu maker program.

That's good news! I had read somewhere that there was a built-in doc reader, but didn't have any info beyond that. I'll give that edit a try. Thanks, this sounds like the solution I need!

Docs in a OneXL

I've been able to get my html docs on to my OneXL, thanks to Alfie's suggestion. Another dilemma: I've moved my GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife) html cache database to the device. I can read it just fine. While I'm reading it, I have three buttons on the bottom of the screen: Find, Zoom, and Done. I want to add a button for "Go To", so that when I'm reading the info on a particular cache, I can hit that button and the device will automagically read the coordinates and set up the route to that cache. Here's my .mnu file...
