RDS/TMC from Russia with love

So I'm having trouble waiting for tomtom to release the rds/tmc reciever in the US. I found some lady over in the Uk I that sells them and is willing to send one over. Do you think the attenna made over there would work here?
I can't think of a reason it wouldn't, but i figured i would ask the pros. Chicago does transmit the frequencies for traffic so what do you guys/gals think?

I saw them last week in Germany and was thinking of buying one. But the high price (~ 67 - 90 Euros can't remember exact) and the fact that I wasn't sure if they used the same freq here kept me from buying one. I do know European car stereos use a different freq range so that's what made think it might not work here.

I saw somewhere they are going to be $135 here. I'm also surprised to see we don't even have the black case available here for the ONE XL yet.
